In these times when the world has become binary and we are caught between black and white, living within the greys has become somewhat of a comfort. Art and literature has always been the pandora of colours that light up human life, that transcend the boundaries of time and make you feel alive. Its easy to get lost in the matrix, just like I had, until I caught myself. Rather my reflection caught me staring at myself, and I almost couldn't recognise what I saw...
Since then, I have rediscovered myself and reigniting my passion for writing. Let me tell you a little more about this side of myself. I love writing on a variety of topics and enjoy immersing myself in new learnings.
Having spent a major part of my professional career working as a Quality Consultant, I possess a natural flair for writing processes and operating procedures in the IT space.
If that sounds too boring, let me assure you it can be very exciting and challenging, at times. And, during these tough times, I always remind myself of the famous quote by the renowned Quality Guru Edwards Deming, “If you can’t describe what you are doing as a process, you don’t know what you’re doing.” Honestly, when I lay the foundation of a new way of working to bring teams together on the same page and help them deliver right the first time, every time, the appreciation from the customer warms my heart.
Thankfully, I have not stopped at that. Instead, to quench my thirst for writing, I have also delved into the realm of creative writing. While it started three years back with a doodle, I eventually got drawn into the amazing world of storytelling. The result stunned me. I have now already penned down nearly 90 short stories capturing life in all its flavours. The feeling is indeed intoxicating. And so, the journey continues as I slowly, but steadily inch towards the century mark, relishing every drop of the nectar of life.
If I have intrigued you enough talking about myself, let me now share the cherry on the cake. Driven by my passion for writing, I enrolled myself on a course on Content Writing with the Henry Harvin Academy. Over the duration of the course followed by an Internship, I composed several blogs and articles in different styles spanning multiple domains. This trip has just started and believe me, am enjoying every bit of it – learning and unlearning along the way….
By virtue of this training, I have now met the blogger and the storyteller within me. My rich experience of mothering two loving daughters along with a full-time job has helped nurture the writer in me. I can now write with elan on a multitude of topics ranging from relationships, parenting, natural and holistic living, and career advice together with being a working mom.
Balancing my home and a full-time job with my new creative pursuit is daunting but challenging. And that’s what keeps me going…
I primarily enjoy writing blogs and articles but am keen to expand my horizon to other forms of writing as well.
So, here I am today – opening up myself for you.
